Ok so I need everyone’s help.... So I started a company called Kelly Anne Inc.… I sell scarves but not average scarves… don’t worry it won’t be a secret for long… I have two lines, Kelly Anne (KA) and a lower end line called (WYH) Where's Your Hood? (Neighborhood that it)... I need everyone’s help getting WYH off the ground… please tell me something about your neighborhood... where did/do you live and what made it feel like it is/was your neighborhood?... it could be a street you lived on.... the first playground you played on.... your high school... the best friend’s house you never left... the corner store you bought your first piece of bazooka gum at...Whatever it is tell me and I will try to develop a scarf that will relate to your "Hood"! The more hits per city or area the more likely it will be produced!! It will all make more sense later when you see the product...I will have a company Facebook real soon... the high end line is ready to go.... now I need your help to get the WYH off the ground... be part of the creation and tell me everything!
Getting all Four seasons sometimes they overlap, most people from where i'm from just say thats Rochester(NY) weather for you!, I grew up on the west side the 19th ward tree lined streets. But dont be fooled its not as safe as it looks. I Remember city summer camps, walks to the Green store or better yet the whole neighborhood. Late night music sessions on the front porch and the all time classic of double dutching with extinction cords. My childhood on Ravenwood.
ReplyDeleteVery Hot Chimere... thank you for the feed back, it is much appreciated ... Love the feeling and vision of the double dutching with extension cords!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, and this is truly amazing because I just watched a documentary about Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers) tonight, shortly before reading your blog. He was ALL about the hood! My hood lately has been the Cafe Tremolo in Tucson, where I've been living out my fantasy of being a folk/rock star at their open mics. I get to meet other supportive musicians in a warm, cozy atmosphere. And the owner has an amazing collection of autographed electric guitars mounted on the walls.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome... Mr. Rogers and autographed electric guitars!!! Love it! Congrats on the music... my brother is an artist himself so I know the passion you must have for it...I would love to hear some of your material. Thank you for the feed back! Much appreciated!
